The Chateau du Cray is a 22 hectares estate. It is settled in the villages of Buxy in Côte Chalonnaise.
The vineyards are around the château, except the 2.26 hectares of Mercurey which is a single plot well oriented on the Mercurey table-land
Long aging period in oak barrels.
Nice red Ruby robe. The bouquet is pure and gives off red fruits aromas with hints of liquorice and smoky minerality. It is a nice powerful wine, well balanced and long on the palate.
Red meats such as beef sirloin, leg of lamb, or small game are ideal dishes to accompany this Mercurey. It is also perfectly suited to soft ripened or matured cheeses.
Best consumed three or six years after harvest.
